4) Who would be the audience for your media product?



 The BBFC are The British Board of Film Classification is an independent, non-governmental body which has classified cinema films in the UK since it was set up in 1912 and videos/ DVDs since the Video Recordings Act was passed in 1984.

The BBFC are a highly expert and experienced regulator of the moving image (especially film, video/DVD and video games), and also a service provider for new and developing media.

Ashley and I have decided to give our movie a 12/12A rating.

12 in cinema and 12A on DVD

we chose this rating because we thought that it was the most appropriate.

This rating is only relevant to cinemas. Films given this rating are considered to be unsuitable for people under 12, and therefore they have to be accompanied by an adult aged over 18, but generally the films are not recommended for them. Films under this category can contain mature themes, including; discrimination, mild drug use, commonly used swear words, and moderate violence/sex references.

                        Typical Audience Member

This is Harry, he is a 16 year old boy. He attends College and he is currently doing a diploma in Sport and Leisure Studies. 

 Harry is very sporty and loves trying out new things and he is always up for an adventure. He likes going to the gym and he likes playing sports an he is always trying to pick up new activities. He currently plays football, basketball, baseball, table tennis, rugby, badminton and Golf. Harry likes to play football with his friends in the park and on the Astroturf. He loves it when its the weekend because it means that he gets extra sleep and more time to play. He loves going to cinema to watch movies especially the latest releases. He is also very friendly and bubbly and loves to have a laugh with his friends.
