6) What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

While doing my research, planning, construction and evaluation i have used different types of technologies to help me go through with it.

Research

During my research, I did not use that much research like i did in evaluation. In my research all i used was the web to research existing video clips and I inserted them into my blog and wrote about it to show that i understood what it was about and how it gave me ideas about what to put in my own film.

I got all my videos from http://www.youtube.com/

on YouTube i was able to look at the opening sequences of the movies and tv shows that we needed to watch for research. The movies and Tv shows included

                                     Six Feet Under

YouTube even included work that had been done by past candidates such as 'el embro angelico' 

We were able go go on YouTube through the web browser called 'Opera'

I also used my phone, the blackberry torch as a form of research, my phone has a YouTube app on it and this made it possible for me to view videos and search for them during times that I could not go on the school computer.

My phone also had other apps like the Google mobile app and with this i could search and find out information that i needed to know about the movies that i was using in my research.

Blogger was the most important technology we used.

Blogger is a blog storage service that allows private or multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries.

it is type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video.

in our case it was used in in educational manner and we used it for our coursework and it was suitable because it let us post and share everything from text to video and pictures.

It was very easy to learn how to use.

Planning

In our planning, we had to meet up with our partners and find out where they were  and we had to meet up with our actors and tell them where to meet us.

To keep in contact with my partner and my actors, i used my phone to call and text them. also with the help of my phone i was able to organise transport and eqipment needed to make with my phone.

eg; contacting my opartner Ashley to meet me with our camera in the hall at 1:30 pm

I could also use social networking sited such as Facebook to contact the actors incase i didnt have their number or if i couldnt get through to them on the phone

 Facebook is a social networking website — a gathering spot, to connect with your friends and with your friends friends.

and we also used blogger to record all our plannimg activities

Construction

To construct our movie, we used various technologies to aff it all together. 

we used a Panasonic NVGS 500 mini-DV video camera to record the scenes in our movie. We also used the tripod when it was neccessary to keep the camera stable when we needed it to be so that it did not shake and ruin our clip.

We imported the clips that we recorded onto the apple iMacs and then onto a programme callde Adobe Premier Pro, here we able to edit our clips and make them into videos.

Adobe Premiere Pro is a professional, real-time, timeline based video editing software application.

On Adobe Premiere, I can carry out different actions and edits that will help me develop my final video.

I am able to tick the videos that i want to carry on editing with and the videos that i don not untick will not be in use when i am editing and adding all the clips together,

it also gives me the ability to add titles and music to the clips. The music has to be gotten from http://www.freeplaymusic.com/ and Ash and I decided to use the track called 'Market Spices'

Evaluation

To show our audience our movie, we had to put it on a DVD so it can be easy for playing and showing. Our target audience were 15 people who were all in the same age group which was a range of 16 to 18 year olds. All of them were sixth formers

Our film was projected on a large screen to give it the cinimatic experience.

Microsoft Word is a word processing program that you can use to create, edit, format, and save documents.

We used microsoft word to create both our research and evaluation questionnaires that we provided to our audience to answer.

We printed off 15 copies of the questionaire to give one copy to each person.
